October 11, 2016Revised – Great Product! It is unfortunate the unit failed within 48 hours of installation.I am buying a replacement sender today hoping the new unit will work as designed.10/14/2016 – Update – Upon replacing the failed unit, I realized the micro-orifice in the unit was plugged with a small teflon tape particle. I used teflon tape as a thread sealant. I have to admit this is user error – my user error. I am revising my Review to a 5 – highly satisfied. I will keep the replaced sender as a backup.10/16/2016 – Update – The new unit failed again. However, upon unistalling the sender unit I noticed the micro-orifice was blocked with small fragments of of teflon tape. I drilled a 1/8 in. hole in the sender unit using the micro-orifice as a guide. I then proceeded to test the sender unit by hooking it up to a 30 psi air compressor. The electrical resistance readings covered the range of 0 to 200 ohms. Finally, upon final installation in the car, the gauge worked perfectly showing an oil pressure reading from 25 psi to 75 psi. I am now rating the unit a 4 because of the extra effort required to get it to work correctly. I am posting this to inform other readers whose sender units have failed. Based on my experience so far, it appears the factory orifice diameter needs to be increased to minimize field failures.

June 11, 2022Short Life SpanYou need to buy this one if you using their short sweep gauge and I have had to replace it 3 times in 15 years. When it states 25 psi and should be 50 psi time to replace.
